History of Blue Tomato

The first Blue Tomato store was opened in 1994, following on from the success of the Blue Tomato snowboarding school that opened in 1988. The Blue Tomato online store was then launched in 1997. The brand is the brainchild of Gerfried Schuller, a European Snowboard Champion, and over the years the online store has become one of the most popular places to buy skating, skiing, snowboarding and surfing equipment.

Blue Tomato is a big name across Europe. Store opening times vary between the brick and mortar stores in Austria and Germany. Stores are typically open from Monday-Saturday, though some are also open on Sunday. Opening times are usually:

Delivery Information

Various shipping and delivery options are available. Product and shipping prices are converted on the website from £, with free shipping for orders of £40 or more. Standard shipping is £9,90 and is estimated to take 3-4 days, whilst express delivery takes 1-2 days and is priced according to package weight, ranging from £16 upwards. FedEx freight for larger items costs £90, taking 4-5 days.

Blue Tomato also offers a cash on delivery option, where the courier requires cash at your door, for £22. Select stores (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Innsbruck, Vienna and SCS Vienna) offer in-store collection for items purchased online.

Returns Policy

Blue Tomato offers a 100 day return policy, with returns free of charge if your original order came to a value of £200 or more. Otherwise, you'll need to cover the return postage yourself. A returns form is available on the Blue Tomato website and should be filled in and included in your returns package. Items are returned to the Blue Tomato logistics centre in Austria. If your return is successful then you may receive store credit or a replacement. If Blue Tomato accepts liability, you may also be offered the option of a full refund.

If you have used discount vouchers or promotional codes then these are split proportionately between all of the items in your original order. Your refund or store credit will not cover the discount.
