History of The Body Shop

The Body Shop was founded by Anita Roddick who had been turned on to the concept of naturally scented cosmetics and toiletries in 1970 after a trip to California. The first Body Shop was opened in Brighton in 1976, and was the first of over 2,500 stores in 60 markets that are open today.
