History of Uniqlo

The roots of Uniqlo stretch back to 1949, when the textiles manufacturer Ogari Shoji ran men's clothing shops in Yamaguchi, Japan. The company branched out in 1984 with a casual, unisex clothing brand, "Unique Clothing Warehouse". A misreading of the letter C for Q in branding paperwork led to the creation of the unusually-spelled Uniqlo, now one of the most famous brands in contemporary high street fashion. Using the same in-house production and selling of clothing model as The Gap, the company quickly grew from 500 stores in Japan to over 1,000 worldwide. Opening Times

The Uniqlo website is open for online shopping orders 24 hours a day, so you can place your order from the comfort of your own home whenever you require it. If you can't wait for the post, items can be delivered to a Uniqlo store to be collected the next day, seven days a week. There are regularly online voucher codes available for discounts and savings on Uniqlo items.

Delivery Information

Uniqlo uses a variety of delivery methods detailed below. All orders arrive between 9am and 9pm, and there are no deliveries on bank holidays or Sundays. You will receive a tracking link once the order has left the warehouse, which may take up to 24 hours to become active.

Standard delivery (£3.95) takes three to five working days to arrive and may require a signature.

Next day delivery (£5.95) is an option for orders placed before 4pm, Monday to Thursday.

Nominated day delivery (£5.95) allows you to choose the delivery day between Tuesday and Saturday, up to 10 days ahead.

Click and Collect is free on orders over £19.90, or £2.95 for orders below £19.90. Place an order before midnight and pick it up from a Uniqlo store after midday the following day, seven days a week (except bank holidays). Your order will be available for collection for seven days. You'll need to bring your order confirmation with you.

UK convenience store delivery costs £5.95, and means your order will be delivered to a ParcelShop convenience store of your choice. Orders placed before 4pm will delivered the next day, and you'll have seven days to collect them.

Returns Policy

Uniqlo accepts returns by post, or in stores.

For free post via ParcelShop, include your order information with the returned items, which means either the returns note, or a printout of your order details from your Uniqlo account. If you don't have either, please contact customer services.

Go to http://hermesreturn.me/to/uniqlo and follow instructions to find a ParcelShop store and get a returns label. Attach the label to the outside of the parcel and drop it off at any store offering ParcelShop services.

If you choose not to use ParcelShop, you can post your return through the Post Office and claim a refund for the postal charges. Complete the returns note and place it in the parcel with your item, wrapped securely. Take it to the Post Office with your tax invoice, which will be stamped and which you should keep until you have received your refund (within 15 days). The item should be returned to Uniqlo Ecommerce, Lodge Road, Staplehurst, Tonbridge, Kent, TN12 0QW, England.

If you are returning to a store, bring the item, your order information and the card you used to make the online payment within 28 days for a refund.
